Day 1: Rome
Hotel 4*breakfastMeet and greet your guide and travel companions in the lobby of the hotel. After check-in we explore the city between Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Fontana di Trevi. Overnight.
Day 2: Rome - Vatican - Rome
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. The first part of the day is dedicated to Vatican. We visit the St. Peter Basilica and the Vatican Museum with Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel and the Angel's Castle. In the afternoon, we visit the Ancient Rome – the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Capitoline Hill and many other important sights. Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping. Overnight.
Day 3: Rome - Naples - Pompei - Amalfi coast
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. We follow the old Roman road southwards to the sea. Naples – the capital of Southern Italy is filthy, football enthusiast, impossible to drive through, and has a distinct charm of its own. We do most of the sightseeing by foo t in the centre between the port, Piazza Garibaldi and Via Toledo, we see the New Castle and the Castel Capuano, the Forcella open-air market, the beautifully preserved area of Spaccanapoli and many churches. Afterwards we visit of the better-known and larger of the two towns that were covered in ashes when the volcano erupted – Pompei. We see the most interesting parts of this vast archaeological area. We continue our expedition to the south and after some steep driving, we arrive to the famous resort on the Amalfi Coast. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 4: Amalfi coast - Sorrento - (Capri) - Amalfi coast
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. Full day dedicated to sightseeing. In Amalfi, we walk up the steps to the beautiful Cathedral and stroll along the promenade. We continue to the famous resort of Sorrento. Possibility to take a boat to Capri Island (at additional cost). Overnight.
Day 5: Amalfi coast - Siena - Montecatini terme
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. Morning departure to Northern Italy. We stop at Siena, that is smaller and better preserved city than Florence, and many think that it is even more fascinating than its nearest rival. Again, you have the possibility to see all the major sights and have enough time to stroll on your own. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 6: Montecatini terme - Vinci - Pisa - Cinque Terre
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. After a short drive, we arrive to the village of Vinci where Leonardo da Vinci was born. We proceed our journey along the river Arno to the city of Pisa and the world-known Field of Miracles. You have enough time to explore the Leaning Tower and other beautiful buildings. We drive to beautiful Italian resorts on the coast of Liguria: Rapallo, Portofino, San Fruttuoso. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 7: Cinque Terre
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. This is the day when we explore the wonderful coast of the Cinque Terre. In combination of transfers by boat and train you have the opportunity to make several stops and see all the small fisherman villages along the way. Overnight on the coast of Liguria.
Day 8: Cinque Terre - Genoa - Milan
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. Visit of Genoa and walk through the old city centre: the Columbus House, medieval monuments like the Cathedral of St. Lorenzo, Piazza San Matteo, Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio etc. Genoa is known of numerous palaces that can be seen on famous Via Garibaldi. We end our day in the capital of the richest Italian region, Lombardy. That is of course Milan. Evening stroll around the city centre. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 9: Milan - Lake Maggiore - Milan
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. This day is dedicated to exploring of the famous sights of Milan. The most interesting part is the triangle between the Scala, the Cathedral and the small church where is located the fresco Last Supper by Leonardo. In the afternoon, we drive to Lake Maggiore and take a boat cruise on the lake and visit the island “Isola Bella” (gardens and palace). Return to Milan and overnight.
Day 10: Milan - Verona - Venice
Hotel 4*breakfastAfter breakfast, some free time for shopping. In the afternoon, drive to Verona. On the way, we stop in a little medieval city Sirmione on Lake Garda. In Verona, we take a leisurely stroll through the old city and check the Juliet’s balcony from the famous love story of all times of Romeo and Juliet. Verona is also well-known for its huge Arena, where the opera shows are being held. We end this day in Venice. Accommodation and overnight.
Day 11: Venice
Hotel 4*breakfastAfter breakfast, we board a vaporetto that will take us to Murano Island, known for the first glass-blowers of the renowned “Murano glass”. We witness glass production and look at the collection of art products and jewellery. Free time for purchasing souvenirs. Then we take a vaporetto and sail to Saint Mark’s Square, the main square considered the centre of Venice, with its main attractions and most important buildings: Doge's Palace, the St. Mark’s Basilica, the St. Mark’s Clock Tower, the Procuratie Vecchie, the Napoleonic Wing of Procuratie, the Procuratie Nuove, St. Mark's Campanile and the Loggetta, and the Biblioteca Marciana. Two patrons on columns guard the “Piazza San Marco” – the lion of St. Mark and St. Theodore of Amasea, who stands on a crocodile, the sacred animal of Egypt. Free time for sightseeing and shopping. You can relax with a cup of coffee or tea on St Mark’s square or take a ride with a gondola and glide around the canals of Venice. Return to hotel and overnight.
Day 12: Venice - Florence - Montecatini terme
Hotel 4*breakfastAfter breakfast, we drive to Florence. There is some walking, as even vans are not allowed to drive inside the centre of Florence. We see the most important sights and leave you to decide where you like to go (Cathedral, Baptistery, Basilica of St. Lawrence, Basilica of the Holy Cross, Uffizi Gallery, Old Bridge etc.). Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping in the afternoon. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 13: Montecatini terme - Assis - Rome
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. Drive to Rome with intermediate stop in Assisi. We visit the Papal Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and have a stroll around the town. We continue to Rome. Accommodation in a hotel. Free for shopping or individual sightseeing. Overnight.
Day 14: Rome
Hotel 4*breakfastBreakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of our journey.
