Day 1: Slovenia - Ljubljana

In the morning meet and greet your guide and travel companions in the lobby of the hotel / airport. After knowing each other we explore the city centre of Ljubljana. The old city centre has a unique architectural appearance, particularly due to its mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture with masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. The funicular will take us to the Castle of Ljubljana situated above the town. Time to admire the magnificent view, which on a sunny day stretches all the way to the Alps. We suggest ending the day with a boat cruise on the Ljubljanica River. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Ljubljana - Postojna cave - Lipica - Slovenian Karst - Ham drying facility - Ljubljana

After breakfast, we drive to the famous underground world of the Postojna Cave. For 140 years, the Postojna Cave - as the only cave in the world - offers a unique and adventurous ride with a special cave train, which will take us into the cave, under spectacular underground arches, which are embellished with chandelier look-alike stalactites, through a beautiful subterranean world full of playful limestone sculptures. Continue to Lipica and visit a stud farm with a more than 400-year-old tradition of breeding and selection of thoroughbred horses. Some free time to enjoy nature. Then we visit the ham-drying facility, where we see the production of the famous Slovenian dried-ham – prosciutto. Tasting of Karst dry-cured ham “pršut” with a glass of local red wine “Teran”. Return to Ljubljana. Overnight.
Day 3: Ljubljana - Radovljica - Bled - Ljubljana

After breakfast, we drive to Radovljica, where we visit the Museum of Apiculture. The museum has attracted numerous visitors from all over the world since 1959, and presents three key themes that mark Slovenian bee-keeping: autonomous race of bees, world renowned bee-keepers and painted frontal boards of beehives. Afterwards we continue to famous for gorgeous lake, considered to be one of the top five attractions in Slovenia. We take a stroll on the banks of Lake Bled and walk up to the ancient Bled Castle. The castle houses a museum with printing workshop where the reconstructed Gutenberg’s wooden printing press is displayed. Its courtyard offers a majestic view of the lake and the surroundings. We take time to enjoy tasting “kremšnita”, the famous Bled cake. Return to Ljubljana and some free time. Overnight.
Suggestion: After visit of the Bled Castle, we take the “pletna” boat and visit the Bled Island, where you can make a wish while ringing the church bell
Day 4: Ljubljana - Zagreb

Breakfast. Drive to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, the biggest city and cultural, industrial and commercial centre. We start our tour at the Ban Jelačić Square, and head to the Upper Town for a taste of Old Zagreb. On our sightseeing tour we will see the Cathedral, the City Museum, the Dolac Market, the Stone Gate, the Gallery of Naive Art and St Mark's Church. In the Lower Town, we see Zagreb's blend of museums and spacious parks as the Strossmayer Gallery, the Archaeological Museum, the Ethnographic Museum and the Zrinjevac Park. Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 5: Zagreb - Sarajevo

Breakfast. We drive to Sarajevo, the last European city to be under siege which is slowly getting back its former beauty. This Olympic City used to be the most popular of all Yugoslav federal capitals. We stroll around the city centre and see Baščaršija and Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque and the tunnel, which was a rescue refuge from snipers. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Suggestion: Traditional dinner at Baščaršija (čevapčiči, lepinja, kajmak, and baklava)
Day 6: Sarajevo - Mostar - (Medjugorje) - Dubrovnik

After breakfast, we continue to Mostar. This is the place which still preserves the ancient architecture in spite of the damages during the last war. We visit a traditional old house and walk over the recently rebuilt Mostar Bridge that spans the emerald green river. We make a short stop at Medjugorje, a famous pilgrimage centre. From there, we drive along the Neretva River towards Dubrovnik. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 7: Dubrovnik

Breakfast. Dubrovnik has a walled historic centre, which was reconstructed several times due to its tumultuous history of earthquakes and wars. The last attempt for its destruction occurred in 1991-92, when 2,000 mortar shells fell on the main street of Stradun and other monuments and bastions of the city. Free afternoon or boat trip to the nearby islands with fish picnic. Overnight.

Day 8: Dubrovnik - Bay of Kotor - (Montenegro) - Dubrovnik

After breakfast, we drive to the coast of Montenegro. About an hour's drive from Dubrovnik is located a 15-mile long UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, the Bay of Kotor. It is located between the mountains and the sea, and fringed with oleander, pomegranate and palm trees. The gulf is actually a submerged river canyon and is one of the most spectacular sites in the world. There are several lovely medieval towns nestled in the bays and invite us to visit them, such as Kotor, once known as the “Bride of the Adriatic Sea”, protected by fortified walls, rich with ancient churches and splendid mansions. We can also visit Risan, the oldest town in the bay, with mosaics on the floor of a Roman villa, which were uncovered by English archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans. Return to Dubrovnik and overnight.
Day 9: Dubrovnik - Split - Trogir

Breakfast. We head off to Split, where we visit the enormous Diocletian's Palace, which takes us to the central part of the city core that is even more interesting as it is a living-breathing space and not just a mere monument. We continue our trip to one of the best-preserved medieval ports along the Adriatic coast – Trogir. A stroll through the town with its white stone paved streets is a special experience as the town is included in the UNESCO’s List of World Heritage Site. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight in Trogir / Šibenik area.
Day 10: Trogir - Krka waterfalls - Sibenik

After breakfast we continue with our journey to the beautiful area around the Krka River and its waterfalls. In Šibenik, we visit the most eminent Cathedral in this part of the world. Afternoon free for leisure. Overnight in the Trogir / Šibenik area.

Day 11: Sibenik - Zadar - Opatija

Breakfast. We continue to Zadar, the capital of Byzantine Dalmatia, which boasts of many different architectural aspects from the Roman times onwards. We stroll through the Old City and see some major sights: Church of St. Donatus, Bishop’s Palace, remains of the town square. Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping. Drive to Opatija, one of the most dazzling resorts on the Adriatic coast. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.
Day 12: Opatija - Pula - Brijuni - Rovinj

Breakfast. We go to the tip of Istria, where Pula, its regional capital, is located. We stroll the city district in the immediate vicinity to the Amphitheatre. We take a boat to the near-by Brijuni Island, proclaimed a National Park in 1983. Brijuni were most known for the political activities of Marshal Josip Broz Tito, president of former Yugoslavia. Tourist train takes us through various beauties of the nature; through the Safari Park, to the Byzantine Castrum, residential Roman villa in Verige Bay, and many other interesting sights. Return to the mainland and drive to Rovinj. Due to legacy of the rich history and its particular location, Rovinj is one of the most attractive and beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. The city radiates in a unique beauty that attracts visitors from all over the world. Rovinj boasts of charming stone paved streets, houses with particular architectonic touches and roof terraces, Renaissance town walls, beautiful churches, galleries under the clear sky, and many sea-food restaurants with a view to the endlessly blue sea. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.

Day 13: Rovinj - Motovun - Koper - Ljubljana

After breakfast, we drive into the heart of the Croatian Istria. We make a short stop on the ancient hill in village of Motovun, artists’ favourite spot. Afterwards, we continue towards Slovenia. Koper is the largest port in Slovenia, and represents the gateway or the entrance point to the Central Europe. City sightseeing spots: the main door, Venetian-style palazzos, charming churches, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Tito Square etc. We continue towards Ljubljana. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight.

Day 14: Ljubljana

After breakfast we meet in the lobby to say farewell to our new friends and travel companions and take the last group photo in memory of the unforgettable moments in Slovenia and its neighbouring countries. Check-out.
