This journey is a path of its major tourist attractions, accompanied by incredible hospitality, excellent food, exquisite wine, and extraordinary natural beauties. But to experience the real Europe, we have to visit also its neighbouring countries – Austria with its capital Vienna, Italy with Venice, Hungary with its capital Budapest and the Balaton Lake, Croatia with the emerald Plitvice Lakes and the birthplace of the president of former Yugoslavia Marshal Tito.

  • The Vršič Pass is usually closed from the beginning of November until the beginning of May, because of weather conditions. We change the route in those months, but cover all sites.
  • The dairy museum “Od planine do Planike” is closed on Sundays and National Holidays.
  • Archaeological display of CELEIA – “City below the City” and Regional Museum of Celje are closed on Mondays and National Holidays.
  • The program (tasting and meals) could be adjusted due to client’s nutrition requirements.
Day 1


Morning meet and greet at airport / hotel. Transfer from the airport to the city. Circular tour of the city of Vienna, and pass the Vienna Opera House (Wiener Staatsoper), the Art History Museum (Kunsthistorisches Museum), the Natural History Museum (Naturhistorisches Museum), Austrian the Parliament Building (Parlament or Hohes Haus), the University of Vienna (Universität Wien), the Vienna City Hall (das Rathaus), the Stock Exchange (Die Börsenfachgeschäft) etc. In the afternoon, we take a walk and go from Hofburg to the Cathedral of St. Stephen (Der Stephansdom), and then visit the Schönbrunn Palace (supplement). Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2


After breakfast, we drive to Slovenia, namely its mountainous area and visit the most renowned lake of Slovenia, Bled Lake. We explore the city of Bled, and visit the historical Bled Castle. After visiting the castle, we will take a ride on a pedal boat “Pletna” to the island, where you can make a wish while ringing the church bell (supplement). Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3


After breakfast, we drive to Bohinj, a town located in the Bohinj basin, a 20km long and 5km wide area in the heart of the Julian Alps in the Triglav National Park. Its main feature is the preglacial Bohinj Lake. We offer you a choice of a half-hour hike uphill through the woods to the scenic Savica Waterfall or a cable car ride to Vogel that offer a beautiful view of the Lake and the Alps. Continue our journey to Kranjska Gora with its famous ski and Planica Ski Jump resort. Accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 4


Breakfast. Then we drive over the Vršič pass (approx. 1,500m above the sea level) and along the Soča Valley. We take a short hike to the spring of the Soča River. Visit of Kobarid, where we can hear all about World War I and the famous battle at the Isonzo Front - “Soška fronta”. We visit a dairy museum “Od planine do Planike” in Kobarid. The presentation of the history of cheese-making is followed by an unforgettable tasting of cheeses and milk products like sour milk with honey produced there. Continue to Goriška Brda, Slovenian wine country, where we stop at a local winery for a taste of the region’s typical wines, such as: merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon, cabernet… Accommodation and the overnight stay.

Day 5


After breakfast, drive towards the Venetian Lagoon to Venice. There, we board a vaporetto that will take us to Murano Island, known for the first glass-blowers of the renowned “Murano glass”. We take time to see the glass-blowing process and the collection of artistic products and jewellery. Free time for purchasing souvenirs. Then we take a vaporetto and sail to Saint Mark’s Square – the main square considered as the centre of Venice, with its main attractions and most important buildings: Doge's Palace, the St. Mark’s Basilica, the St. Mark’s Clocktower, the Procuratie Vecchie, the Napoleonic Wing of Procuratie, the Procuratie Nuove, St. Mark's Campanile and the Loggetta, and the Biblioteca Marciana. Two patrons on columns guard the “Piazza San Marco” – the lion of St. Mark and St. Theodore of Amasea who stands on a crocodile, sacred animal of Egypt. Free time for sightseeing and shopping. Return back to Slovenia. Overnight stay.

Day 6


After breakfast, we visit Piran. This city with its rich cultural heritage resembles a large open-air museum with medieval architecture. Narrow streets and compact houses give the town its unique charm. Piran is one of Slovenia's major tourist attractions. After some free time, we leave the coastal area and take a trip the Karst area. Firstly, we visit the ham-drying facility, where we see the production of the famous Slovenian dried-ham – “pršut”. Tasting of Karst dry-cured ham “pršut” with a glass of local red wine “teran”. We continue our journey to the Lipica Stud Farm, a farm with more than 400-year-old tradition of breeding and selection of thoroughbred horses. Some free time to enjoy nature. Next, we drive to the famous underground world of the Postojna Cave. We take a small train which will drive us through the cave while we enjoy its underground secrets. Drive to Ljubljana. Accommodation in a hotel and overnight stay.

Day 7


After breakfast, we take a stroll through the city centre of Ljubljana. The old city centre has a unique architectural appearance, particularly due to its mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture with masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. Afterwards we take a ride with the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle. Afternoon is free for individual sightseeing and shopping. Overnight stay.

Day 8


After breakfast, we drive to the Valley of Green Gold with its king – the hops. A short stop at Trojane for a snack, its famous donut. Arrival at Celje, the city famous for the Counts of Celje, who ruled on what is Slovenian territory today. In the city, we step into a “time machine”. Firstly, we visit the unique archaeological display of CELEIA – “City below the City”, called the Troia Secunda by the Romans, and the Regional Museum of Celje, where we admire the “Celje Ceiling”. Afterwards we continue our journey into medieval times when we visit the Old Castle of Celje. We take a walk around the castle and at the end we visit Frederick’s Tower and enjoy a spectacular view of the city below. We take a short drive to hotel and check-in. Overnight stay.

Day 9


After breakfast, we drive to Croatia and visit their first national park – the Plitvice National Park. It was established in 1949 and covers 296.85 square kilometres of breathtaking natural splendour. It is the largest of eight national parks in Croatia. The park was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage, due to its “outstanding natural beauty and undisturbed production of travertine (tufa) through chemical and biological action”. The park represents a phenomenon of karst hydrography. Time for lunch, then drive back towards the border, to Kumrovec. Kumrovec is famous for being the birthplace of marshal Josip Broz Tito, the president of former Yugoslavia. The birth house of Tito (built in 1860 as the first brickwork house in the village) features the Memorial Museum of Marshal Tito, opened in 1953. The museum is also important for the local folklore. Visit of the house and the museum with a bronze statue of Marshal Tito. Drive to Podčetrtek and accommodation in a hotel.

Day 10


After breakfast, time for pampering in the spa and wellness area. Then we visit the beautiful city of Maribor, take a walk in the city centre, walk along the embankment of the Drava River and through the lively streets and squares, where history and tradition are blended with dynamics and modernity. Let Lent, the oldest part of the town, enchant you with its Old Vine, the oldest in the world, the medieval towers and remains of the old town walls. We also visit the Grajski trg Square with the castle and museum, the Glavni trg Square with the Prague monument and the Town hall, the Bishop Slomšek's Cathedral with its viewing tower, the Jewish Synagogue, the Art Gallery and the theatre. We can take the cable car (supplement) to the Pohorje hills and enjoy the view of the city below. Overnight stay in Maribor.

Day 11


Breakfast. Firstly, we visit the famous Ptuj Castle (Regional Museum), which boasts numerous interesting collections, tapestries, paintings and small everyday objects, and then we continue the tour of the oldest documented town in Slovenia. We walk around the town and see the medieval streets, the City Tower, the Church of St. George, the Slovenian market, the City Market and other attractions. We continue our trip to another typical Slovenian wine region – Slovenske Gorice, and visit a wine cellar where we taste the wonderful flavours of several domestic and sparkling wines. Drive to a hotel in Moravske Toplice, accommodation and overnight.

Day 12


After breakfast, we cross the state border and we continue our journey towards the east and soon enter the Hungarian plains. We stop at the largest lake in Central Europe – the Balaton. Continue to the jewel on the Danube – Budapest. We take a panoramic tour before checking-in at the hotel. An evening stroll along the Danube. Overnight stay.

Day 13


Breakfast. We start sightseeing in the Buda part with the 13-century St. Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion then we cross the bridge and enter the Pesta part of the town with the Parliament and other important features of the city where one third of the population of Hungary lives. We also visit the Citadel, an astonishing city park with monument. In the evening, we enjoy a Csarda evening (supplement) with traditional dinner. Overnight stay.

After breakfast free time until departure.
